The Lowdown
So the Winterial Single Person Tent tent has been designed for 3-season use – summer, spring, and fall.
The mesh frame means it’s perfect for backpacking in the summertime, as it maximizes ventilation while minimizing condensation buildup as much as possible.
All seams have been sealed from factory, so no additional weatherproofing is needed. It’s just a matter of receiving the tent and using it.
What does all of this mean?
Whether you want to use it in the summertime with the rain fly off (stargazing), or during the colder nights where it might become windy and rainy, this tent does the job just fine.
The Features
Easy To Set Up – Due to the simple design (two-hoop system), it can be setup in a fast amount of time. Many camping/backpacking newbies can pitch this tent in a couple of minutes!
Strong Cord – To ensure that this tent stands like a house in strong winds, it is held to the ground by 3 bundles of very strong cord
Heavy Duty Stakes – I typically find that cheap tents usually come with cheap stakes. However, the Winterial Single Person Tent contains heavy duty ones, as they will not bend when used on hard terrain
Lightweight – The feature that makes this tent stand out from its competitors is the fact that it only weighs 2.9 pounds! If you’re looking to go ultralight, then this tent is definitely worth considering
Mesh Walls And Roof – I absolutely love tents that offer stargazing opportunities, and I am happy to see that this tent contains that exact feature. Mesh material stops any condensation building up, while you can sleep under the stars on the warmer nights
Large Door – The extra large door makes it much easier for people (especially taller and larger ones) to get in and out – without bringing the tent down with them!
The Good
Due to the weight of this tent, I’m a big fan already.
It’s not easy to find a solo tent in this price bracket that’s so lightweight.
Furthermore, I’m super glad that it can withstand strong winds while resisting a lot of rain at the same time.
The Bad
I’m a little bigger than the average guy, and I enjoy my space, so the fact that the center height is only 2.4 feet worries me a bit.
However, that is definitely not too much of a concern and by no means bad enough to be a no-brainer anyway.
Who Should Purchase This Tent?
It’s good for lightweight backpacking, summer backpacking, camping, and even camping in rough weather conditions.
If you’re on a budget and want a tent that will keep you safe from the elements, then I have no doubts that you will love the Winterial Single Person Tent.
Of course it isn’t the most expensive solo tent on the market, so it’s not like it will last as long as a $200-$400 tent will.
But if you are intrigued by this tent thus far, then you’ll probably find it to work for you.

Do I Recommend It?
Listen, if you’re looking to cut out a bit of weight for backpacking or camping, this tent is definitely for you.
However, if you want maximum comfort and interior space, you’ll be disappointed, as it’s NOT designed to be spacious. All it’s designed for is to keep you safe from the elements, that’s it.
And guess what?
It does a mighty fine job at it too!
Of course this tent is definitely recommended, but that all depends on what you plan on using it for.
If you want space, then check out this alternative solo tent instead.
Otherwise if you want a lightweight (affordable) solo tent to keep you safe on your backpack/camping adventures, then get it while you still can here!
Alternative Solo Tents
The First Gear – Cliff Hangar – Solo Tent is an amazing alternative. Even though it weighs a little more than the Winterial, the center height is much higher!
And if you’re over 6 foot, you’ll EASILY be able to fit in the Eureka Apex Solo Tent. It still has a slightly higher center height than the Winterial, and the only downside is that it weighs 5.2 pounds.
My Final Opinion
Even though there are many complaints about this tent being tiny, they don’t realize that it is ONLY designed for 1 person.
I have no idea why people purchase a solo tent, try to fit 2 people inside, THEN give it a low rating because they both cannot fit or sleep comfortably.
But anyhow, the Winterial Single Person Tent is definitely on my list of tents that I thoroughly enjoy.
It’s at a great price, keeps you safe from the rain and wind, very lightweight, and contains a lot of helpful features.
