What Is This Tent All About?
The Eureka Spitfire 1 Tent sleeps 1 person.
The rain fly and floor seams are factory sealed, while the taped and the bathtub floor keeps you safe from the rain as much as possible.
There is a massive door for easy entry and exit, and a vestibule for storing equipment.
The mesh ceiling and walls provide 360 degree views of the surroundings and a perfect view of the clear night sky.
Not to mention the massive amounts of ventilation you get, making condensation buildup non-existent.
The poles attach to clips and 2 stakes are required only, making it fast and easy to set up every time.
If you look closely at the product images you can see that there is more head room than what other solo tents offer. This makes sitting up and getting changed a breeze.
The rain fly vent can be left opened or closed depending on weather conditions, which is usable from inside AND outside the tent.

Apart from that, there is nothing else that other solo tents in the same price bracket don’t offer.

Do I Recommend This Tent?
More so than other solo tents actually.
The only major complaint I could find was the low quality stakes.
Other than that everyone loves this tent and it’s everything they expected it to be.
It has a great design, a bunch of good feedback and only a small amount of negatives.
This tent is highly recommended, there’s no two ways about it.
Alternative Tents
The Winterial Single Person Tent has HEAVY DUTY stakes. Of course it has a few more cons than the Eureka Spitfire but it is still much cheaper and a great alternative, nonetheless.
One other tent worth considering is the Snugpak Ionosphere 1 Person. It also has heavy duty stakes but packs up very small. However, it’s better suited for backpacking rather than camping.

My Final Opinion
According to the users who have personally used this tent in the field many times, it is built well, it’s highly durable and worth every penny.
I like products that have a boatload of positive reviews and a very small number of negatives.
When everyone is on deck with the product it is much easier to give you the best result possible.
And that is?
That the Eureka Spitfire Solo Tent is worth every penny!
The negative reviewers are all bashing on the bad stakes, but that con can be completely removed by purchasing higher quality ones.
You then have a lightweight, durable, highly affordable backpacking tent to use on many different outdoor missions!

Brandon, I used to live in Cortez, Co., known as the Four Corners. Did a lot of camping with my ATV. My friends and I would pack up our ATVs with our equipment and enough food when we didn’t get any game and head out for a couple of weeks. The problem was going back home – nobody wanted to leave. But the real world was calling.
The tents that are shown here are awesome. They are much better than the ones we used. I like this: “The mesh ceiling and walls provide 360 degree views of the surroundings and a perfect view of the clear night sky.” This would be great for sleeping at night with clear skies! Awesome tent! I wouldn’t let the stakes be an issue for buying. You can always make your own really easy to replace them. You gotta love the outdoors. Great article!

I will be going camping in 2 weeks and it is my first camp. I do not know anything about what type of tent to buy but this review is very helpful to help me look for the types of features in a good tent. I really like Eureka Spitfire tent, the best thing is it comes with a 360 degree view wow spectacular and the second thing is it is waterproof. But too bad it fits only one person, I am looking for a similar tent that fits 2 people. I will look around more. Thank you for sharing this great post.

Sadly this tent is only for 1 person.
However, if you want something similar, you can’t go wrong with the Kelty Salida 2 Person Tent.
It provides the basics and amazing protection from the elements, but still highly affordable at the same time.
Oh man, I didn’t realize how much there was to buying tents. I’m only just starting to get into camping and am happy to see there’s this much variety. I love the fact that you highlighted the mesh roof on this one, that would enhance the experience so much!

I honestly can not believe how well this tent performs. Before I started reviewing it I thought it was going to be cheap/low quality and have a major flaw.

It is a solo tent so two people won’t be sleeping inside it unless you are both extremely small. You will absolutely need a sleeping bag as well, because the nights get too cold.
