Does the End of Summer Mean No More Camping?

Posted on October 16, 2017 by Brandon

The end of summer can be one of the worst times of the year.

Of course everyone has their own opinion, but for the most part people dread the fact that summer is over.

However, does the end of summer really mean camping has to end too?

That’s what I’ll be addressing today – finding out if camping season is really over and alternative trips you can embark on instead.

The End of Summer does not mean Camping is Over

Believe it or not, camping doesn’t ONLY have to be done in the summertime.

People camp in the summertime for the simple reason that it’s easier to enjoy.

Camping in other seasons is much harder and requires a lot more experience to enjoy your stay in the outdoors.

So what am I putting an emphasis on?

That camping is a recreational activity that happens all-year-round.

What the Heck am I Talking About?

Every season is different.

I’ve said why summer camping is embarked on by many people, but why is nobody talking about spring camping, or even winter camping?

Because it’s not the “status quo”.

It is not traditional, to say the least.

It is not what your father did, your mother, grandparents or great-grandparents.

Summer camping is traditional in lots of peoples families worldwide.

Camping in all 4 Seasons

That’s right.

Just because your friends and family wait for summer to go camping, that doesn’t mean you have to as well.

Actually, camping in other seasons provides different landscapes – each unique and stunning in their own way.

Don’t believe me?

Spring Landscape (so colorful, isn’t it?)

Summer is awesome to go camping in, don’t get me wrong.

However, I like to get out of my comfort zone often.

It leads to personal growth – for the body, mind and soul.

I want you to experience that as well.

Should You Stay Traditional Summer Camping?

Yes, definitely continue camping in the summer, because it is probably what you’ve been doing all these years. It is the easiest time to go camping!

That’s why so many people do it.

On the other hand, you’re missing out if you totally forget about these other seasons.

I thought people camping in the winter were nuts!

It turns out that I was missing out on a large opportunity to explore the wondrous landscapes of our world all along.

Our Purpose

I don’t want to get all spiritual on you here, but please hear me out.

Earth is incredible, there’s no two ways about it.

People keep questioning our place on earth – why we’re here and what we are suppose to do here.

It’s not a difficult question.

It’s so simple!

We are here to explore!

People are so caught up on little problems, problems they’ll forget in a week or even a few days, yet they let it ruin their life.

This is not our purpose in life.

Our purpose is to explore mother nature and make the best of it while we are here.

Take Advantage of It While You Can

Summer happens once a year, yet we might not be here in a years time.

Life is too short to be procrastinating all the time, to give up on your dreams just because “you have too much work to catch up on”.

More often than not it takes a wake up call for us to realize that we are not immune to death, and that we aren’t even guaranteed tomorrow.

Hello? Yes, this is your wake up call! Go now and live.

In Conclusion

I suppose this article did go from 0-100 real quick – sometimes that is what it takes when you’re trying to get your point across.

And I’m sorry about that.

Do know that I’m here to answer all questions and concerns you have.

So is camping over?

No, the end of summer does not mean the end of camping.

It simply means we have different environments to explore.

Fall and winter is colder, so more experience and clothing is needed for a successful trip, and spring is “cool”, rather than cold.

Spring is similar to summer – there’s just less crowded campsites and colorful landscapes to enjoy all for yourself!

Well thanks for reading.

I hope I have opened your eyes to the possibilities of our world we live in.

Leave a comment below if you have any questions or concerns.

Otherwise have a wonderful day 🙂
