Face it, your time out in the woods with your partner is quickly getting boring and you want to spice things up.
Well I am glad.
Just call me the “romance guru”, because I’m about to show you some things you can implement into your life that your partner will love you for.
These are the best romantic camping ideas that I’ve used and still continue to use today because they’re so powerful.
It keeps the “spark” going in the relationship.
1. Round up the gear and head to the nearest campsite
Who said camping had to be difficult? Because it clearly isn’t for this couple! Just look at how peaceful and relaxed they are!
I suggest you get your old tent that’s still sitting at the bottom of the cupboard and hasn’t been used in 10 years, round up some yummy food, sleeping bags and pillows and start packing the car.
A romantic camping trip is what you make of it, and keeping it simple does more good than you think.
2. Camp at the peak of a mountain
If traditional camping is a little too boring for you and your significant other, then expand your horizons by hiking a mountain and staying there the night.
It’s good to add a little adventurism to your life and earn a reward after your hard work.
You front row seat is what most people only see on their TV.
While you’re out living it, they can only dream it!
So get out there, snap lots of pictures and spend heaps of valuable time together.
3. Lay out a blanket and pillows, then light some candles
As you’ve probably guessed by now, I love easy ideas, and this is easily one of my favorite.
All you need is a blanket, 2 pillows, a sheet for an overhang and some candles in a jar.
I mean, how romantic does this look? Guys, if you’re trying to accumulate brownie points, this is the way to do it.
4. Indoor camping
Who said you have to go camping outside? There IS something called indoor camping you know, and when done properly, will be an amazing night for both of you.
Clear the living room, pitch a tent, put some blankets and pillows inside then hang some string lights.
It’s as simple as that and works like a charm with the ladies.

5. Stargaze on a truck bed
I’ve said it time and time again. Camping is what you make of it, and if you’re not keen on sleeping in a tent, a truck bed out in an open field is a great alternative.
Fill a truck bed with your favorite pillows, blankets, and of course yummy snacks.
Drive out to an open field, or anywhere where you have an obstructed view of the clear night sky and enjoy every second out there together. Promise me that.
6. Have sex under the stars
If you haven’t tried this yet, you are missing out. There’s no doubts about it.
This can be implemented with number 5, however, number 3, 2 and 1 will be fun as well.
7. Go skinny dipping
You’re probably thinking: “Brandon, what the heck goes through your mind”.
Well, I’m just adventurous and I highly suggest you implement at least one of these ideas into your life today.
Your significant other will thank you for it.
Skinny dipping might seem a little far-fetched and completely out of the ordinary (because it absolutely is), but I find it easy to just “get out and do it”. The rest follows.
And remember to NEVER PRESSURE ANYONE into doing something they don’t want to do.
8. Backyard camping under the stars
Backyard camping should never be overlooked.
Why?
It’s so simple, easy, and virtually free.
All facilities are just 10 steps away, and if your tent starts leaking in the middle of the night you have a nice warm bed inside already calling your name.
9. Camp in hammocks together
I don’t need to tell you how relaxing and comfortable this looks, do I?
Of course it isn’t for the feint hearted, but if both of you haven’t done it before it will be a wonderful experience to share together.
Make sure you won’t be expecting rain or your awesome camping trip may turn into a bad one.
10. Explore your surroundings
Camping isn’t just for relaxing even though most people think it is.
No, no, no. Camping should always include a hike, even if it’s just to see the surrounding areas.
It doesn’t seem like much, but being out in mother nature with your partner, experiencing true freedom and just making sure they are safe at all times creates unforgettable memories and a very strong bond no one can take away from you.
Conclusion
Romantic camping isn’t popular in this day and age.
People are more obsessed over how much “likes” their photos get on social media or how many followers they have.
However, romance is still very well alive if you ask me.
And the ones taking advantage of their strong relationship are the ones reaping the rewards.
So I hope you decide to take what I have said on board today.
A romantic relationship keeps the spark alive! You will grow a strong bond that will last a lifetime.

This is great way to sell a camping to trip to my wife. She is not a fan when it comes to camping. But with some of your ideas, its like glamping.
Star gazing out the back of truck is got to be my favorite.
Thanks for the tips Brandon
Well, I highly recommend you send her to this article or just plan something and execute it. A surprise might be what she needs after all, to realize that she actually enjoys the great outdoors. Good luck to you.
Theres some great ideas here mate you have definitely inspired me to go camping soon! I particularly like the thought of camping at the peak of a mountain. That picture is absolutely breathtaking! I feel like its very healthy to get away from technology and cell phones for a bit aswell!
You hit the nail right on the head, Kourtney. That picture is simply amazing and I can’t recommend doing it enough.
Trust me, if you’re looking to get away from mobile phones, technology and civilization in general, experiencing it for yourself is easier than me telling you.
Have fun and stay safe 🙂
I love this post. It’s so original. I agree with you that camping can be romantic and I do find that camping makes me and my significant other closer. It’s a great escape from the same old day in and out routine. Things go at a much slower pace when making meals and hanging out which makes us enjoy it even more. Camping at the peak of a mountain sounds intense and really out of the ordinary. For some reason I’m scared of trying that one but I’m definitely intrigued. How was your experience with that?
Hey Vanessa. Camping is romantic if you take advantage of all the opportunities available, definitely. Camping at the peak of a mountain is both frightening and exhilarating, as I’ve found out firsthand. I must tell you that it is not for the feint hearted though.
It’s a great idea for people wanting to advance their adventure skills. Good luck.
