Are Ozark Trail Tents Waterproof? (My Personal Findings)

Posted on October 12, 2017 by Brandon

Ozark Trail aren’t a popular brand, although they are still very well-trusted and respected within the camping community.

But the question is: Are Ozark Trail tents waterproof and going to keep you sheltered from the rain without leaking?

I will write down my personal experiences with their tents and everybody else’s I find on the internet as well.

Let’s get right into it.

My discoveries from reviewing Ozark Trail tents

I haven’t reviewed that many tents from Ozark Trail on this specific blog, and that’s simply because I’m not a big fan of them.

However, many people still want to find the truth and that’s exactly what I’ve provided.

But upon completing these reviews, it did not like good for the Ozark Trail brand.

I have reviewed a total of 3 tents – 2 of them are waterproof and 1 is not.

But 2/3 were also low quality and not worth the money.

My discoveries from reviews around the internet

So over the last year that I’ve been reviewing products, I’ve seen a large majority of Ozark Trail tents.

I’ve also seen the feedback that people are giving it.

And to make my observations even more clear, I have just looked all around the internet again, and right now it’s looking good for Ozark Trail!

Yes, their tents are indeed waterproof.

I did not find a single tent where someone was complaining about the waterproofing.

The only complaint was a little leakage, but nothing highly noticeable nor worth mentioning either.

Personal discoveries from Ozark Trail tents I’ve used

As I’ve already stated in this article, I’m not a big fan of Ozark Trail.

It’s not because I dislike them or anything, and no big reason why either. It’s just personal preference.

I’m more of a Kelty kind of guy, but that’s just me.

However, I certainly have used a few Ozark Trail tents over the years, and you’ll be glad to hear that they were ALL highly waterproof.

My take & what I really think of the Ozark Trail brand

They might not be the best brand, the most popular or high quality, but they are definitely a one of a kind.

Not all their tents are going to last years (unless you’re a seasonal camper, then yes), and they aren’t ALWAYS going to perform 100% as advertised.

However, a lot of products do not anyway.

I’ve done my fair share of research and I’ve used more than enough Ozark Trail tents in the past to know what I’m talking about.

I would be lying to you if I said they are low quality and not worth the price.

Why?

Because Ozark Trail are a great brand – more often than not they create amazing shelters for the wilderness!

In a nutshell (so are they actually waterproof?)

I’ve used Ozark Trail tents myself, reviewed a few and left my thoughts on my blog.

I’ve double-checked their tents with the feedback they’ve received online and eventually came to my own conclusion.

Yes, Ozark Trail tents are very waterproof.

Ozark have done a mighty fine job designing their tents and ensuring they stay waterproof, especially when the weather’s fierce.

Here’s a cheap, waterproof solo tent you may like.

Thanks for reading. I hope you have a wonderful day!
