A lot of tents don’t perform as good as the manufacturers claim them to, so I’m writing my very own Eureka Copper Canyon 6 Tent review.
I want to see if this tent is actually as good as everyone makes it out to be, if it’s worthwhile, and most especially high quality enough to handle the harsh outdoor elements.
If you’re interested in learning everything this tent offers, you’re in the right place.
Enjoy, fellow camper 😀
Has Too Much Bad Feedback
Summary:
This tent has a lot of great features and it withstands the elements very well. In saying that, I would’ve given it a much higher rating if the floor wasn’t thin like the walls and if it didn’t have so much bad reviews. The price is high and it has many issues, which is why I simply do not recommend it. This tent is much better (and cheaper).

Quick Description
This tent is shaped like a cabin for maximum interior space and headroom. The incredibly large D-shaped door makes entering and exiting the tent a breeze, which is what’s needed when camping with the whole family 😛
In addition, there are 4 large windows and a mesh roof to promote ventilation and stargazing.
The poles are made of steel to ensure a strong and sturdy frame.
The rain fly and floor seams have all been sealed from factory. This simply means it can be pitched and ready to go as soon as it arrives.
For a fast and easy setup every time, the manufacturers have given this tent shockcorded poles, a pin and ring system, and a combination of clips and sleeves.
What It Offers
4 Large Windows – The 4 large windows are located on each wall. They contain the “Quick Stash” feature, which simply means you can stow the panels away in a tidy and secure manner
1 Large Door – Obviously when you’re camping with so many people, a large door is in order to make everything easier. So I’m super glad that this tent offers exactly that
Full Mesh Ceiling – If stargazing is what you enjoy out in the wild, you’ll be glad that this tent offers a full mesh roof so you can remove the rain fly off and view the starry night sky to your heart’s content
Vertical/Straight Walls – This tent maximizes interior space with the straight walls it provides. The perfect structure (10 x 10 feet) means you can fit multiple mattresses inside and still have room for gear. Just leave them at the end of your bedding
Breezy Setup – The color-coded webbing, shockcorded poles, clip attachments, and ring/pin system makes setting this tent up a breeze. Not my words, but told by many individuals who’ve personally used this tent and found the claims to be true (about 5 minutes to set up with one person)
Bonuses
2 Mesh Storage Pockets – The interior mesh pockets are great for keeping your essentials close-by and easy to reach, especially when you need to access them quickly and effortlessly
Loops – Yes, there are loops for you to hang a line up (create a clothesline). Furthermore, the other loops can be used for hanging a flashlight off of and having an even glow of light throughout the tent
Twin Track Zipper – Even though this feature isn’t extremely helpful, it still good to have. The twin track zipper gives you separate operations for the window inside the door
Guy Out Pockets – The guy out pockets offer a tidy and secure place for you to store the guy lines when not in use. The best time to use them is when you’re setting it up and taking it down. Basically, it keeps the process going smoothly so you don’t have additional lines in the way (tangling, confusing you, and stressing you out)
Electrical Port – The e-port simply means you can bring cords into the tent and power up your electrical devices. Basically, so you don’t have to use the main door
What I Like
I’m a huge fan of stargazing the night away, so the mesh roof is easily one of my favorite options.
Also, high amounts of ventilation is ALWAYS good when combating condensation. The massive door and windows make this possible.
The guy out pockets is a design you don’t see very often on tents as well. But hey, if it offers more convenience, then I’m all for it.
What I Don’t Like
I’m not really a big fan of cabin-styled tents, mostly because they take a bashing from the wind much easier than other tents.
Even though this isn’t really important, I thought I’d mention it anyway – I do not like the color.
But each to their own, I guess.
Who This Tent Is For
It’s great for a small group of friends or family that wish to go on a weekend camping trip together.
It works for public and private campsites, and you’ll probably get away with using it in the wilderness if you use a heavy duty tarp to protect your investment.
However, it will perform best as a backyard tent for family events or camping out with the kids.
Where To Get One For Yourself
You can get the Eureka Copper Canyon 6 Tent from the popular online store, Amazon.com.
The bonuses they offer are:
- Free shipping for orders over $40
- Extremely fast deliveries (sometimes the very next day)
- 30-day return policy
- + a lot more
My favorite is hands down the 30-day return policy, for the simple fact that if you don’t like your purchase, you can get a full refund – no questions asked.
On the other hand, if you DO like your purchase and somehow you get a defect on the product, it will be repaired – free of charge.

Is It Worth Getting?
Please keep in mind, this tent NEEDS to be taught when pitched.
I’ve seen reviews of people bashing on this tent because they simply did not set it up correctly and ended up getting soaked.
Furthermore, if you’re going to use a tarp underneath the tent, make sure all excess is folded or it will run down and pool under the tent.
However, even though the reviews are extremely minor, a tent in this price range should NOT be getting this much bad feedback.
The Eureka Copper Canyon 6 Tent is not worth getting!
Alternative Tents
The CORE 6 Person Instant Cabin Tent never ceases to amaze me and hundreds of other users who’ve purchased it. It’s cheaper than the Copper Canyon but still has the low quality flooring issue, however, there’s a lot less bad feedback for it.
If you’re looking for a tent that doesn’t have low quality floor, the Coleman Steel Creek 6 Person Tent is your next best option. It has a screened-off porch at the front of the tent for relaxing in and staying out of the elements – especially when it’s raining.
My Final Words
I will have to give the Eureka Copper Canyon 6 Tent a big thumbs down, sadly.
The price is on the more expensive side and the bad reviews aren’t stopping anytime soon!
I really tried liking this tent, but there’s just too much bad feedback for a tent in this price range.
It’s a big let down actually, because Eureka usually create amazing tents.
Due to the large amount of negative reviews this tent has received and for the simple fact that it’s in a high price range, I’ll have to say that the Eureka Copper Canyon 6 Tent is not recommended!
