5 Reasons Why You Should Go Camping This Summer

Posted on October 22, 2016 by Brandon

I have never asked myself the question; “why should I go camping?”, however I bet many of you have, and you’re probably wondering why so many people go on these exploration missions out into the wilderness, oftentimes alone…

There’s literally a wide range of reasons to go camping and exploring what the world has to offer us. Yet so many people still don’t get out and do it. Mostly because they don’t have time to organize and prepare for one.

Or maybe they don’t have the money to do so. Fear not my good friends, I have listed some of my FAVORITE reasons why you need to go on a trip asap! Preferably this weekend if you can 🙂

The Real Mother Nature Is Priceless And Can Not Be Beat

I don’t care how much virtual reality you play while you walk around the forest killing zombies, or how many video games you play trying to survive out in a forest full of cannibals, nothing, and I mean NOTHING will beat the real Mother Nature, where the atmosphere is breathtaking and the scenery will have you flabbergasted!

Yes, a flash hotel for the weekend is a great way to enjoy your stay as well and definitely a great thing to do. I’m just saying that you should totally consider going on a camping trip to fully experience what the planet has to offer us.

Getting Away From Civilization Can Be Just What You Need

The busy lifestyle can really take a toll on your stress levels, and a break away from civilization might be all you need to revitalize your body.

We are currently living in a time where we are wired to move in the fast lane. As there are many people working 40-50 hours a week (sometimes more) and some spending an extra hour at the gym every day.

On top of that, some of these people have to do shopping or run errands, there is no time for rest.

This sort of living is not good for our health (physically and mentally). To slow down from this fast-paced living, camping may be all you need to get your stress levels down and freshen yourself up so you can come back stronger than before.

A weekend trip in a public campground will do just fine. When you can get more time than that off your job, a week excursion in the wilderness with a few friends or family will be even better.

You Create Unforgettable Memories

There’s literally thousands of people sitting on their death bed girl-jumping-into-lakeeveryday, you hear this all the time: “I regret the things I didn’t do more than the things I did do” and that trend seems to be consistent throughout the world.

This is just another unbeatable reason why we need to create some fantastic memories that we’ll never forget.

Because we only get one opportunity at life, and by putting off the things we want to do, we are stopping us from living the life WE want.

Your job is there to help you make a living, NOT be the living! Say no to overtime, and instead go for a drive to the nearest beach for the weekend. Anything is better than working nonstop.

Bonding with friends and families

Being out in the wild with friends and family for a long period of time will create a strong bond that’s almost impossible to break.

And going out in the wild more often will only make that bond stronger. Because that’s what we need more of in this world, more love and less fighting/wars.

Something I always say, “what’s the point of finding the best camping/hiking spots when you have no one to share it with?” It is vital for your health and mind to communicate with people. It is in our nature.

A Lot Cheaper Than Staying In A Hotel

When you travel or decide to go on a weekend away, it can get expensive.

A decent hotel for a night can be $150 to $300+ PER NIGHT. A night or 2 out in a public campsite will only cost you a fraction of this price.

Not only is it cheaper, it has a much better experience and atmosphere that no hotel can offer you, the beautiful views of MOTHER NATURE.

The beautiful creations of different wildlife is also something you won’t see inside a hotel…unless you’re watching Animal Planet…

I’ve been camping ever since I was a kid, and agree that there are some flash hotels and they are nice to stay in once in a while, but I prefer sleeping out in the world where all the wild animals are. Heck, it’s what we had to do millions of years ago.

Conclusion

Our planet is simply amazing, with natural formations and literally thousands of wildlife species for us to appreciate while they’re in their natural habitat (with new species being added to that list every year).

The life we live is so much different than our cave man days. We almost forget where are true roots are, and what it was like before we got it so easy.

Without the life we have now we would be fighting for food every single day and also struggling to survive attacks from other settlements who want our inventory.

Be thankful, be glad that we can actually go out into the wilderness and appreciate what life has to offer WITHOUT the fear of being killed for our items, because that’s what it would have been like millions of years ago.

Of course, I agree that not everyone can go on a camping trip just like that, however anyone can camp in the backyard. Otherwise I think you’ll enjoy my outdoor activity list!
